Bernalillo is 12.9 miles from the shop. Corrales, 5.3 miles from Bernalillo, and Placitas, 7.2, are the nearest other areas the shop covers. A drive that size is worth planning around, not improvising.
That means asking the right question before getting in the car: what's actually wrong, roughly what it costs to find out, and whether the job is a drop-off-and-wait or a leave-it-for-the-day. None of that needs guessing from Bernalillo — it needs one phone call first.
Is the drive from Bernalillo worth it for a small job?
For something quick — a bulb, a battery terminal, a sensor reset — probably not worth the length of the trip on its own; bundling it with a scheduled service makes more sense. For anything that needs real diagnostic time, the distance stops mattering, because the alternative is doing the drive twice.

Does it matter what kind of car it is?
Not really — the shop works on domestic and import makes, from RAM and GMC trucks to Subaru and BMW, alongside daily sedans and SUVs. That's as true for a diesel truck as it is for a daily commuter.
